What to do after reaching your goal..

Typically, clients reach their goals working with me rather quickly. Then completely fall off the rails.
Why is this?
Is it because as a coach, I mislead them? Or are their expectations and goals not realistic?
Most people do not understand that goals are relative to where you are now, and where you strive to be eventually. This is something that must be met daily. A goal should not be so distant that it literally takes you a lifetime to achieve, A goal should be split into three phases.
Short term (3 month)
Medium term (9 month)
Long term (2 years)
Obviously, the numbers can be stretched or shortened, based on the clients mindset and work ethic. However, you must have this idea in place. After spending 12-36 weeks in a fat loss phase, I like to remind clients of the importance of taking calories up, letting the body heal, and giving way to recovery. For some women, this could be up to 9 months. Not every person responds the same, and not every person requires the same time. There must be a period of "dieting", and a period of "recovery". Obviously, you want to stay lean during the recovery period, but it isn't mandatory to be "stage lean" 365 days per year.
The best approach, as a client, is to allow the coach to make the calls as to what is ideal. This is why my clients succeed (I lied when I said they fall off the rails).
Patience is a must
Consistency is a must
Mindset is a must
Having a coach shouldn't be for the short term, it should be for life if you plan on getting better.
If we all could do it alone, this would be a perfect world. Every coach has a coach...
God Bless.
Rock on 2021.
