HOW TO STAY LEAN FOREVER

Sure -

Everybody wants to get lean. Have you ever heard someone say, "My goal for this year is to get fat?" That's pretty rare to say the least.

I've been in this field for over two decades and can firmly say that the fastest way to add muscle, is to get lean first! How so?

Insulin sensitivity, my dear friends. You see, the more fat you hold the worse your insulin sensitivity. Insulin sensitivity determines body fat accumulation, in short. Have you ever met an obese male who gets leaner eating pizza? Probably not. Have you ever seen a competitive bodybuilder consume a burger and actually look better and leaner the following day? Sure. This is due to insulin sensitivity and the hormones that are impacted and manipulated through proper nutrition.

Ever realize that when you begin accumulating body fat it becomes a domino effect, and the fat continues to pile with no remorse? That's a sure sign that your insulin sensitivity has taken a shit on itself.

So, to the original question: How to stay lean forever?

Well, we've discovered that getting lean first is the ultimate trick. Easier said then done, eh? Well, there's no other way around it. It takes your body (from my understanding) 6 months of CONSISTENCY to create a set-point for your body. What does this mean? 6 months of being at 7% body fat will result in a set metabolic point. Not getting there over the course of 6 months. You need to "OWN" that weight, or body fat percentage. Once you have dipped below 8-9% body fat (MALE) 10-12% (female), it is safe to say that you are truly LEAN.

Have you ever noticed the people that diet for 3 months like mad, lose 30#, only to regain it back, plus some, within week? That's because they dieted incorrectly, destroyed their hormones (ANOTHER BLOG TO EXPLAIN), and caused a rebound effect for something they never truly owned, nor deserved.

So, TO RECAP -

The fastest way to get lean and stay lean, is to OWN IT YOUR SET POINT.

Simple, yet massively misunderstood.
